Podcast Suggestions

Page history last edited by Jay 3 years ago

Student listening to the podcast made the following suggestions:

  1. The audience had been considered very well due to the CHOICE of background music. However, in discussing the intended audience it was also felt that the "live" nature of the music track (cheering/clapping) distracted from the narrator's message.

  2. The narrator spoke clearly and told the listener who he was, the block (class) and what the intention of the podcast was. He concluded the podcast well and finished by thanking the listener.

  3. The length was just under 2 and one half minutes - the required time (at about 200 words per minute, this equates to a 500 word review). The speaker did not seem to be rushing too much, but spoke about 450 or more words in the podcast.

  4. We agreed that the podcast added lots more info and interest than an equivalent 500 word essay - due to the tone, voice, background muzac etc.

  5. The speaker mentioned a couple of "essential questions" at the beginning of the podcast - creating interest and giving the listener an idea of what the podcast was going to be about, before saying who he was, the date etc.
